Manchester United Transfer News: Red Devils Near Agreement With Ajax for Antony
Man Utd transfer news: The Red Devils are nearing an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of winger Antony.
The Red Devils have made Antony a top target with manager Erik ten Hag keen to reunite with the Brazil international.
Man Utd are now close to agreeing on a deal worth €100m including add-ons for Antony with Ajax.
The Manchester outfit have so far made four signings this summer. Man Utd have signed Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord. He has signed a four-year contract with the option for a further year.
Man Utd have also reunited Ten Hag with Lisandro Martinez, with the Argentine defender joining from Ajax. The centre-back has signed a five-year contract with the club. There is also the option to extend it by another 12 months.
Christian Eriksen has joined Man Utd on a free transfer after impressing during his short stint at Brentford last season. The Danish midfielder has signed a three-year contract.
Man Utd have also secured the services of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who has left Real Madrid. The 30-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the option to extend it by another year.
Man Utd kicked off their 22/23 season by hosting Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford in a Premier League match. However, the Red Devils succumbed to a 2-1 defeat.
Man Utd then traveled to Gtech Community Stadium to take on Brentford in their second game of the season. However, Man Utd suffered a heavy defeat there, with Brentford thrashing them 4-0.
Old Trafford finally secured their first win of the league season when they faced bitter rivals, Liverpool, at Old Trafford. Man Utd looked invigorated against the Reds, who they inflicted a 2-1 defeat. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford found the back of the net for Man Utd while Mohamed Salah scored Liverpool’s consolatory goal.
Man Utd made it two wins in a row when they faced Southampton in their next match. The Red Devils secured a 1-0 win, with Bruno Fernandes, who captained the side, scoring the goal.
