Tottenham Hotspur Set to Make Dejan Kulusevski Deal Permanent in 2023

The Swedish International joined Tottenham Hotspur in the January window of this year and has become the main man on the right wing.

Kulusevski with Son and Kane has become one of the Premier League’s deadly trios. After his arrival, Spurs were able to qualify for the Champions League and they are still unbeaten this season.

Tottenham signed the Swedish forward on a loan deal after missing out on Luiz Diaz of Porto and Adama Traore from Wolves. The London club paid €10 million to Juve to sign the player on an 18-month loan deal. Since his arrival at Tottenham stadium, the former Juve forward has made 29 appearances in the Premier League. He has registered six goals and 11 assists so far.

The first process of this deal is the obligation to buy the player for €35 million which will activate after playing in 20 matches in the Premier League for 45 minutes or more. If Spurs will qualify for the Champions League next season, they will also have to make the move permanent.

Secondly, there is a buy-option clause in his loan contract. Even if some conditions aren’t met, the Spurs still can purchase him. But Ramano has “no doubt” over Tottenham making this deal permanent next year.

Surely, I wasn’t okay at Juventus for many reasons and when you realise things don’t work, it’s hard to change direction in the same environment. The decision to leave Italy was the best I could make in that situation. Everything is going better in England. On and off the pitch. Now I always want to play football and win for my team.”

Kulusevski also added the effects of demanding Italian coach Antonio Conte at the Spurs: “At Tottenham, we work much more in the gym and the results are there. My world has changed. I have to say that I’ve never met a person who is as motivated as Conte in my life. When someone like him talks to you, it enters your heart.”

After the International Break, Tottenham Hotspur will return to action on Saturday in the London derby against arch-rivals Arsenal.
