Chelsea Manager Graham Potter Aims to Improve Club’s Injury Record

Chelsea manager Graham Potter wants to improve the Blues’ injury record after three key players were sidelined due to injuries.

N’Golo Kante, Reece James and Wesley Fofana – three important players – have been sidelined due to injuries.

Potter says the entire blame for their injury record should not be put on luck and believes it is an area where they can improve.

Meanwhile, James suffered an injury in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League group stage. He has suffered a knee injury and it has sparked concerns ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

It is not clear at this stage when James could return to action and Chelsea manager Potter confirmed the England international is due to see a specialist over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Fofana suffered an injury during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League group stage. However, his knee injury is not as bad as first feared and he could return from a spell on the sidelines in ‘a few weeks’.

Meanwhile, Chelsea faces Aston Villa in an away fixture in the Premier League in their next match. The Blues come into the game on the back of their 2-0 win over Milan.

The west Londoners now have four wins in five matches since Potter became the club’s manager. Chelsea was held to a 1-1 draw by RB Salzburg in their first match since Potter took charge but have secured wins in all four matches they have played since.

The Blues currently sit fourth in the Premier League points table with 16 points from eight matches. They are eight points behind table-toppers Arsenal, but the Potter’s men have a game in hand.
