Chelsea Manager Graham Potter Reacts to Brentford Draw, Speaks on Kepa, Gallagher and Pulisic Performances

The Stamford Bridge outfit dominated possession against Brentford, but they could not translate that to goals and a win. Potter’s men registered 14 shots, with five of those on target. But none of those went in as Chelsea dropped two important points.

Speaking after the match, Potter admitted that a draw was a fair result and said that Brentford made it difficult for the Blues to control the game.

Potter said a point was just about right, while also claiming they were the likelier side to score a goal towards the end of the match.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to sit fourth in the Premier League point table. The Blues have 20 points from their first 10 matches in the English top flight this season.

Chelsea are three points short of third-placed Tottenham Hotspur. Antonio Conte’s men have 23 points from 11 matches, but they have played a game more than Chelsea.

The west Londoners could have reduced the gap on Tottenham to just one point had they secured a win over Brentford. Tottenham fell to a defeat to Manchester United in their previous match. The Red Devils registered a 2-0 win over the north London outfit.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are now seven points behind table-toppers Arsenal. The Gunners have earned 27 points from 10 matches in the league so far this season.

Chelsea will face Manchester United in their next match in the Premier League. The Old Trafford outfit sit fifth in the points table, just behind Chelsea. Erik ten Hag’s men are only a point short of Chelsea. Chelsea will have the opportunity to establish a four-point lead over Man Utd when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge.
