Ghana also have three points, but they have played two matches. Uruguay sits third with one point, while South Korea languish at fourth, also with a point. Uruguay could leapfrog Portugal and Ghana in the table if they get the better of the former in their upcoming FIFA World Cup match.
Meanwhile, the victory boosts Ghana’s hopes of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2022 round of 16. They will conclude their group stage campaign by taking on Uruguay.
