England took on Senegal in the FIFA World Cup round of 16 and secured passage to the quarter-finals with an impressive 3-0 win over the African nation.
Against Senegal, England opened the scoring in the 38th minute of the match. Jude Bellingham surged into the Senegal penalty box before cutting the ball back for Jordan Henderson, who steered it inside to send England a goal up.
Speaking after the match, Jordan Henderson was full of praise for Jude Bellingham, who has been impressive for England at FIFA World Cup 2022.
Jude Bellingham, who was in the England starting XI against Senegal, featured for Gareth Southgate’s team until he was replaced in the 76th minute by Mason Mount. He was impressive throughout his time on the pitch against Senegal.
Southgate, meanwhile, replaced Jordan Henderson six minutes later, in the 82nd minute, with Kalvin Phillips coming off the bench.
