Wayne Rooney Urges Kylian Mbappe to Leave PSG to Reach Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Level

Former England international Wayne Rooney has urged Kylian Mbappe to leave PSG to reach the levels of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Kylian Mbappe is among the most talented footballers of his generation.

Kylian Mbappe joined Paris Saint-Germain from AS Roma in 2017. He has played 237 games (in all competitions) for PSG thus far, registering 190 goals and 93 assists. The 23-year-old attacker helped the Paris outfit win four Ligue 1 titles, among other honours.

However, Kylian Mbappe is reportedly looking to leave the French club. He could make a move away from the Paris outfit at the end of the season. Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Liverpool have emerged as his potential destinations.

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni wants Lionel Messi to continue his international career. Messi’s international’s future has been subject to speculation after he announced that this World Cup Albiceleste will be his last.

Speaking to the media, Scaloni said: “Messi should have a place in the next World Cup, we want him to continue. If he wants to keep playing, the ’10’ will always be ready for Lionel”.

Lionel Messi has been a key player for Argentina since making his debut in 2005. He has represented his country 172 times so far, registering 98 goals and 55 assists.

The 34-year-old attacker helped the Albiceleste win one FIFA World Cup and one Copa America trophy. He also won the Argentina Player of the Year accolade record 14 times.
