Rafael Nadal Hopes to See Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid in Future
Tennis legend and Real Madrid fan Rafael Nadal admits he would ‘sign Kylian Mbappe tomorrow’ despite the Frenchman snubbing the Spanish behemoths in the summer transfer window of 2022.
Kylian Mbappe was heavily linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window of 2022. He had attracted transfer interest from Real Madrid and could have joined the La Liga club on a free transfer.
But he eventually chose to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract with the French club. His current contract with PSG runs until 2025.
Kylian Mbappe has been sensational for PSG in the 22/23 season. The 24-year-old has racked up 19 goals and five assists across all competitions for PSG in the ongoing 22/23 season.
He also admitted as a Real Madrid fan he would be ready to ‘sign Kylian Mbappe tomorrow’. “As a Real Madrid fan, I would sign Mbappe tomorrow,” Rafael Nadal said.
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe has returned to training at PSG after the end of FIFA World Cup 2022. He and France came close to lifting the FIFA World Cup title for the second consecutive time but fell short at the last hurdle.
They slumped to a defeat to Argentina in the penalty shootout in the final as the South American heavyweights clinched the title at Qatar 2022. Mbappe was impressive for France at FIFA World Cup 2022, and he also won the Golden Boot.
Kylian Mbappe scored eight goals for France at Qatar 2022 – and that includes a sensational hat-trick he scored against Argentina in the final. After Argentina had taken a two-goal lead in the final, Kylian Mbappe bagged a brace to help France claw their way back into the game.
Lionel Messi then sent Argentina ahead in the extra time before Mbappe once again scored to restore parity and take the game to penalty shootout.
