Moises Caicedo Missed Brighton Training Amid Exit Rumours

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo is currently among the most sought-after footballers in Europe. He has established himself among the best midfielders in the Premier League since joining the Seagulls from Independiente del Valle in the January transfer window of 2021.

The 21-year-old midfielder has played 26 Premier League games thus far, registering two goals and two assists. He won the Brighton Player of the Month accolade in April 2022.

Moises Caicedo also impressed with his performances for Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup 2022. He played three games in Qatar, scoring one goal in the process.

Moises Caicedo has recently urged the Seagulls to allow him to leave before the deadline day. He said: “I am grateful to Brighton. I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club. I hope fans can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity”.

The Spaniard was linked heavily with a move to Camp Nou before the start of the current season. However, he extended his stay with Chelsea by signing a new two-year contract.

Cesar Azpilicueta has been a consistent performer for the Blues since joining from Marseille during the summer transfer window of 2012. He has played 500 games (in all competitions) for the London outfit thus far, registering 17 goals and 56 assists.

He helped Chelsea win two Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours. Azpilicueta won the Chelsea Players’ Player of the Season accolade during the 2013-14 season.
