Borussia Dortmund Provides Update on Jude Bellingham’s Future

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has insisted they have not received any inquiries for Jude Bellingham and has also reiterated their desire to keep hold of the English midfielder beyond the end of the 22/23 season.

Jude Bellingham is one of the most exciting young talents in the world of football, and the England international has attracted transfer interest from a number of top European clubs.

The highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder has a contract that runs until 2025 with Borussia Dortmund. That means he has more than two years left on his current deal with the Bundesliga heavyweights.

Speaking to Sportbild, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl revealed their desire to keep Jude Bellingham at the club beyond the end of the next summer transfer window.

We need Jude to achieve our goals this season and we’re glad he’s focused so much on football and has no other issues on his mind at the moment.

Jude still has two years of contract and is a very important part of this team. That’s why I naturally wish that he would play for BVB longer.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to offer Jude Bellingham a contract extension offer that would make him the highest-paid player in the club. However, it remains to be seen what Bellingham decides with regard to his future: whether to stay at BVB or leave.

Since signing for Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Jude Bellingham has so far featured in 119 games across all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit. He has also scored 20 goals in those matches.

Jude Bellingham has already established himself as a key player for Borussia Dortmund. The young midfielder has already made 29 appearances for the German club so far this season and has racked up 10 goals and six assists.
