Manchester United have provided a fitness update on Marcus Rashford, who sustained an injury in the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The injury also forced Marcus Rashford to withdraw from the England squad for the matches in the March international break. Rashford was named in the England squad for their games against Italy and Ukraine but withdrew from it following the injury.

Marcus Rashford has been sensational for Manchester United in the ongoing campaign, with the English striker arguably having the best season of his career. He has been crucial for Manchester United, and the Red Devils will be hoping he can return to action in time for their first match after the March international break.

Manchester United have now provided an update on Marcus Rashford, revealing the 25-year-old returned to light training on Monday.

There was no ball work involved for the 25-year-old, who scored his 27th goal of United’s season with a long-range beauty against Real Betis, ensuring he netted in both legs of the Europa League tie with the Spanish side.

Marcus Rashford has appeared in 44 games across all competitions for the Old Trafford outfit so far in the current campaign. He has racked up 27 goals in those matches and is Man Utd’s top goalscorer this season. Rashford has also assisted nine goals for Manchester United in the 22/23 campaign.

Meanwhile, Manchester United resume their campaign after the March international break with a Premier League fixture against Newcastle United. The Red Devils currently sit third in the Premier League, while Newcastle United occupy the fourth place.

Newcastle United are only three points behind Man Utd in the table. Hence, the Red Devils will be aiming to extend their gap on Newcastle to six points and strengthen their position in the table.

Meanwhile, the game between Manchester United and Newcastle United will kick-off at 9:00pm Indian Standard Time on April 2nd.
