Arthur Melo Agent Urges Liverpool to Consider Signing His Client Permanently

Arthur Melo’s agent Federico Pastorello urged Liverpool to consider signing his client permanently at the end of the season. The Brazil international joined the Reds on loan from Juventus during the summer window.

However, Arthur Melo has struggled with his fitness since joining the Reds. He suffered a thigh injury while training in October. The Brazilian is unlikely to feature again in 2023.

Arthur Melo is yet to feature in a Premier League game for Liverpool. He played just 13 minutes in the Reds shirt after coming on as a second-half substitute during the UEFA Champions League clash against Serie A club Napoli.

As far as next season is concerned, we’ll finish the current one and then we’ll see. There isn’t a real right of redemption, but obviously by continuing Allegri at Juve we’ll have to find a solution.

So, if Liverpool wanted to renew the loan or make an offer in my opinion, they would find fertile ground.”

Liverpool are unlikely to sign Arthur Melo permanently next summer given his injury record. Meanwhile, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are likely to leave Anfield at the end of the current season. The trio are in the final year of their respective contracts, with talks over a new deal stalled in recent months.

Liverpool will lock horns against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the EFL Cup round-of-16 tie on December 23. The Reds will resume their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa on December 26.
