Casemiro Hits Out at Fans Who Celebrated Neymar’s Injury at FIFA World Cup 2022
While Neymar’s injury came as a blow to Brazil, there were many fans who celebrated it and trolled the Brazilian on social media. Neymar’s Brazil teammate Casemiro have now hit out at those.
In Neymar’s injury-enforced absence, Casemiro stepped up for Brazil against Switzerland in a Group G fixture at FIFA World Cup 2022. The Manchester United midfielder scored the only goal of the game as Brazil defeated Switzerland 1-0.
Casemiro scored a stunner of a goal in the 83rd minute of the match, with a finely struck half-volley. The ball took a slight deflection from a Switzerland defender on its way into the net, but it was a sensational goal. More importantly, it earned Brazil three points and sealed their FIFA World Cup 2022 round-of-16 qualification.
In the process, Brazil also became the second team to qualify for the World Cup 2022 round of 16. France was the first side to seal their spot in the next stage of the competition.
