Cristiano Ronaldo Sends World Cup Message Ahead of Portugal vs Ghana

Cristiano Ronaldo: The Portuguese has sent a message to Portugal fans ahead of their 2022 World Cup opener.

Portugal kick-off their 2022 World Cup campaign by taking on Ghana in a Group H fixture on November 24th. The match kicks off at 9:30 pm Indian Standard Time.

Portugal head into the latest edition of FIFA’s flagship event as one of the favourites to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. The Euro 2016 winners have one of the best squads in the world and are capable of beating anyone on their day.

Ronaldo headlines the star-studded Portugal squad, with the 37-year-old now set to play in his fifth World Cup.

In that post, Ronaldo insisted there are no ‘impossibles’ as Portugal aims to lift the coveted World Cup trophy for the first time in the history of the competition.

Portugal are in Group H at the 2022 World Cup. Alongside Portugal in Group H are South Korea, Ghana, and South American giants Uruguay. Portugal are expected to seal their place in the round-of-16 from the group.

After kicking off their campaign with a match against Ghana, Portugal will take on Uruguay in their second group stage match of the 2022 World Cup. Portugal will then conclude their group stage campaign by squaring off with South Korea in their third match.

Ronaldo has won almost everything there is to win in football, but the biggest title of all has eluded the Portuguese superstar so far. He will be aiming to clinch the World Cup title with Portugal at Qatar 2022.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo heads into the 2022 World Cup as a free agent. He became a free agent after he and Manchester United terminated his contract by mutual agreement.

Ronaldo had effectively burned the bridges with Manchester United after sitting down for an explosive interview with Piers Morgan. In the interview, Erik ten Hag and the Glazers family were among those Ronaldo criticized.
