Erik ten Hag Admits He Wants Jadon Sancho Back in Man Utd First Team Fold Soon

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted that he wants Jadon Sancho back in the first-team fold as soon as possible but insisted he can’t force the process.

It has also been reported that Jadon Sancho travelled to the Netherlands in November to take training with the coaches reportedly recommended by Erik ten Hag. Jadon Sancho has since returned to Carrington but is not yet back in the first-team fold.

Erik ten Hag has now admitted that he wants Jadon Sancho back available for selection as soon as possible but stressed he can’t force the process of his return.

Erik ten Hag also revealed Jadon Sancho is ‘in a good direction’ but also conceded the Englishman still has to pass some hurdles.

Jadon is one – when he is fit – who can contribute and then we have an extra option so we will have more chance of winning a lot of games. We have some hurdles still to take, but I think he’s in a good direction. I can’t force this process, so I don’t.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are fourth in the Premier League points table with 35 points from 17 matches. They are now nine points short of Arsenal, who are atop of the points table with 44 points from 17 matches.

Manchester United are also tied on points with Newcastle United, who sit third, but the latter have a better goal difference than the Red Devils have. But Newcastle United have played a game more than Man Utd have.
