Frank Lampard Sacked By Everton
Frank Lampard has been sacked by Everton following the Toffees’ 2-0 defeat to West Ham in the Premier League that extended their dreadful run of form.
Everton have won just one of their last 12 games in the Premier League. Their only win in that period came against Crystal Palace in October last year as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over the London outfit. They suffered defeats in nine of those 12 games while they shared points in two matches.
Everton have also been already knocked out of the FA Cup and EFL Cup. Bournemouth romped their way into a 4-1 win over Everton in the EFL Cup third round to knock the Toffees out of the competition. Manchester United then dumped Everton out of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win in the third round.
Frank Lampard has now paid the price for Everton’s dreadful run of form. Multiple outlets report that Everton have parted ways with Frank Lampard.
Everton appointed Frank Lampard as their manager after they sacked Rafael Benitez in January last year. Frank Lampard joined Everton on a two-and-a-half-year contract, but the Toffees have sacked him after less than a year in charge of the club.
Frank Lampard guided Everton to 16th place finish in the Premier League last season as they avoided relegation.
However, under the tutelage of Frank Lampard, Everton have managed to register just three wins in the Premier League so far this season. In the 20 games they have so far played in the English top-flight this season, Everton have three wins, six draws, and 11 defeats.
Meanwhile, Everton will face Premier League table-toppers Arsenal in their next match. The match between Everton and Arsenal kicks off at 6:00 pm Indian Standard Time on February 4th.
