Hakim Ziyech: PSG in Advanced Talks to Sign Chelsea Attacker
Paris Saint-Germain are in advanced talks with Chelsea over a deal to sign Hakim Ziyech either on a permanent or loan deal.
Hakim Ziyech has struggled for game time at Chelsea in the ongoing 22/23 season. The Moroccan attacker has featured in 15 games for Chelsea so far this season, with 10 of those in the Premier League. However, he has only started in four matches in the English top flight this season.
Chelsea have been very active in the January transfer window, and their new additions to the squad could see Hakim Ziyech’s game time reduce further.
Hakim Ziyech joined Chelsea from Dutch heavyweights Ajax at the end of the 2019/20 season. Since joining the Stamford Bridge outfit, Ziyech has featured in 98 games for the Premier League side and has scored 14 goals for them.
Hakim Ziyech was also impressive for Morocco at Qatar World Cup 2022 as the African nation reached the semi-finals of the quadrennial event.
Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech has a contract until 2025 with Chelsea. That means he has more than two years left on his current contract with the Blues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have bolstered their attacking department with the addition of forwards Mykhailo Mudryk, David Datro Fofana, Noni Madueke, and Joao Felix in the January transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, have not made any additions to their squad in the January transfer window. But that could change before the deadline with the club interested in the services of Milan Skriniar and Hakim Ziyech.
It remains to be seen if PSG will manage to pull off a deal for both or one of Milan Skriniar and Hakim Ziyech before the transfer window slams shut.
