Chelsea and Bayern Munich are going to head to head to sign Matthijs de Ligt.
The defender’s time at Juventus looks to be over with both Bayern and the Blues pushing hard to get him.
Juve also appear open to letting de Ligt leave following a tough three years in Serie A.
Juve journalist Romeo Agresti has given the latest state of play in the battle to sign de Ligt.
He has revealed that Chelsea are soon expected to raise their offer for the Dutch international.
Meanwhile, the Bavarians are unwilling to be drawn into a bidding war and will not match the Blues’ offer.
Bayern are therefore instead working to convince the player of moving to the Allianz Arena over Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have plans of their own to convince de Ligt to join them.
The 22-year-old is believed to be the German coach’s number one target.
