Kylian Mbappe Spotted Watching Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Copa del Rey Clash
Kylian Mbappe: The Paris Saint-Germain superstar was spotted watching the Copa del Rey quarter-final clash between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid while he was attending a charity gala.
However, Real Madrid restored parity in the 79th minute through Rodrygo, which took the game to extra time. Mbappe’s France teammate Karim Benzema gave Real Madrid the lead in the 103rd minute before Vinicius Jr sealed their victory with a goal in the 120+1st minute.
Kylian Mbappe attracted transfer interest from Real Madrid in 2022. The Frenchman’s previous contract with PSG was due to expire at the end of June 2022.
PSG wanted to retain the services of the Frenchman and extend his stay at the club beyond the end of his contract. Real Madrid, meanwhile, aimed to sign the France international on a free transfer.
However, Kylian Mbappe eventually chose to snub Real Madrid and extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He signed a new three-year contract with PSG that runs until 2025.
Kylian Mbappe still continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid in the future although the Spanish behemoths have not made any attempts to sign the highly-rated attacker since.
Meanwhile, Mbappe has been in stellar form for Paris Saint-Germain in the ongoing 22/23 season. The 24-year-old has racked up 25 goals and six assists for PSG in 24 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign.
13 of those goals have come in Ligue 1, where PSG are the defending champions and league leaders. He has also amassed seven goals for PSG in the UEFA Champions League, where they have qualified for the round of 16. PSG will face Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
