Vinicius Jr delivered an impressive performance for Real Madrid vs Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg as the Spanish behemoths trounced the Merseyside outfit at Anfield.
Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield in the first leg, all but sealing their place in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. However, they needed to come from two goals behind to defeat the Premier League side.
It was Vinicius Jr who kick-started Real Madrid’s comeback vs Liverpool. The Brazilian scored a sensational goal in the 21st minute to reduce Real Madrid’s deficit to just one goal. The 22-year-old then restored parity for Real Madrid in the 36th as Alisson Becker’s attempt to play a pass ricocheted off his Brazil teammate and into the Liverpool net. Vinicius also assisted Real Madrid’s fifth goal of the game, scored by Karim Benzema.
The performance that Vinicius Jr delivered for Real Madrid vs Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 first leg has earned him praise from the fans of the Merseyside outfit.

Vinicius Jr has been impressive for Real Madrid in the ongoing 22/23 season. He is one of their key players. The Brazilian international has made 35 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid so far this season.
Vinicius has racked up 18 goals and nine assists in those matches for Real Madrid. Six of his goals and two of his assists have come in the Champions League 22/23 campaign.
The Brazilian attacker has also amassed seven goals and four assists for Real Madrid in the La Liga 22/23 campaign. He has featured in 21 of the 22 La Liga games Real Madrid have played this season. He started in all 21 of those, and the only game he missed was the one he was unavailable for selection due to suspension.
Meanwhile, the second leg of the Real Madrid vs Liverpool Champions League tie kicks off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 16.
