Manchester City Made Contact With Stanislav Lobotka’s Camp

Stanislav Lobotka joined the academy of AS Trencin at a very early age. He then graduated from the Trencin academy and was promoted to the senior team.

Lobotka then spent two seasons in Trencin before joining Ajax on loan. Lobotka played one year for the Dutch giants and then came back to his parent team and played one more year for them.

The Slovakian midfielder joined the Danish club Nordjaelland in 2015. He stayed two seasons in Denmark before a move to the Spanish club Celta Vigo. In Celta Lobotka was one of the main players of the team and made regular appearances in La Liga. Finally, in 2020 Serie-A giants Napoli signed the Slovakian midfield from the Spanish team.

Lobotka gradually became one of the mainstays in the Napoli team and is now considered one of the biggest assets of the squad.

The midfielder appeared in every match for Napoli this season and has been one of the most consistent performers for them. His consistency has already made him a target for many big clubs.

Manchester City currently possesses one of the best squads in the world. They have multiple quality players in each position. However, the Citizens might lose two midfielders in the upcoming window.

Club captain Ilkay Gundogan is in the final year of his contract. There have been no renewal talks with him until now. Another midfielder Bernardo Silva offers a move to Spain. It is expected that he might do it in the upcoming summer.

So Manchester City is already looking at multiple midfielders who can arrive at the Etihad in the upcoming summer.

Now Napoli has given Lobotka a new contract extension. But the midfielder’s agent does not like the terms of the contract. Hence they are looking at multiple other clubs.

Apart from Manchester City, the midfielder has been contacted by Chelsea too. With both the EPL giants interested in the midfielder, we can expect a transfer war for Lobotka in the upcoming transfer window.
