Marcus Rashford Returns to Manchester United Training Ahead of Sevilla Clash

Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United training in a welcome news for the Red Devils ahead of the crunch Europa League quarter-final clash with Sevilla.

His return to training means he could be in contention to play in the Europa League quarter-final second-leg match against Sevilla. Manchester United and Sevilla played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg, which left the tie in the balance.

Manchester United took a two-goal lead against Sevilla courtesy of a brace from Marcel Sabitzer inside the first 21 minutes. However, Sevilla scored two goals late in the game, much to the frustration of Manchester United.

Luke Shaw, who has missed Manchester United’s last three fixtures, has also returned to training, and so has Tyrell Malacia.

The return of those four players is welcome news for Manchester United ahead of their clash with Sevilla. The Red Devils will be without Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez when they face Sevilla in the second leg.

Both Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez suffered injuries during the 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-final first leg. Martinez has even been ruled out for the remainder of the season in a heavy blow for Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will be aiming to defeat Sevilla in the second leg and remain in contention for the Europa League title. The Old Trafford outfit have already won the EFL Cup title this season and are eyeing to win both FA Cup and Europa League titles.

In FA Cup, they have qualified for the semi-final where they will take on Brighton & Hove Albion for a place in the final. They will now be aiming to seal their place in the Europa League semi-final by getting the better of Sevilla in the 2nd leg.
