Neymar Congratulates Messi Post World Cup Final 2022
Neymar posted a congratulatory message to “Hermano” Lionel Messi after his team beat France to lift the World Cup.
In spite of scoring a spectacular hat-trick, Mbappe couldn’t do more as Argentina wrapped up the final match with a win in the penalty shootout. Argentina clearly held the upper hand in the first half, but Kylian Mbappe poured in his soul to bring France back into the game. Mbappe finished the tournament becoming the top goal scorer of the World Cup 2022.
Even Messi’s two goals couldn’t make the necessary cut in the game to make them the winner, which took the match to the penalty shootout. Emiliano Martinez once again turned out to be the hero for Argentina and Gonzalo Montiel gave the last blow in the penalty shootout to sail Argentina to victory.
Messi finally has finally won the world, putting an end to years of despair and completing his legacy for the nation. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner needed the support of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to seal the win in the shootout. Martinez did not let the team down, and their dream has been finally fulfilled.
Messi took to Instagram to express his emotions, quoting “CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD”. He goes on to mention how many times he dreamed of it, and how he is still in disbelief.
Croatia beat Neymar’s Brazil in the Quarterfinals of the World Cup. Even when the Brazil star was eliminated from the tournament, he tuned into the final match of the tournament. Neymar kept his rivalry away while supporting his neighbours as Argentina went on to achieve the feat.
Neymar congratulated his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Lionel Messi while Mbappe also belonged to the same team. The 30-year-old footballer also shared a photo of Messi kissing the trophy at the Lusail stadium along with the message.
Even though Mbappe could not win the World Cup for France, he took away the Golden Boot 2022 from Messi. The 23-year-old actually deserved it after a stunning final hat trick.
Nothing of this affects Lionel Messi though, after having won the world’s greatest award for the team ever. Also given that it was the last World Cup for Lionel Messi, the legend has earned his happy ending righteously.
