Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said Los Blancos are at the beginning of a new era and not the end of one amid their slump in form.
“Everyone talks about Modric, Kroos, and Benzema but we have to talk about the youngsters too: [Eduardo] Camavinga, Vinicius, Rodrygo, [Federico] Valverde, [Eder] Militao, [Aurelien] Tchouameni and those to come.
“I think this is the beginning of an era at this club… It’s a moment of transition, from a fantastic era to another era. The day that Karim, Toni, and Luka stop playing — and let’s hope it’s years away — there are others who will take charge of this team. It isn’t the end, it’s the beginning.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid currently sits second in the La Liga points table, behind their El Clasico rivals FC Barcelona. Real Madrid have 38 points from 16 matches in La Liga so far in the 22/23 season.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have a three-point lead over Real Madrid. The Catalan outfit have 41 points from 16 matches.
