Real Madrid Star Toni Kroos Makes Claim About Playing Alongside Luka Modric

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has made bold claims about playing alongside Luka Modric. The German international has been a star performer for Los Blancos since joining from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window of 2014.

He has played 395 games (in all competitions) for the Blancos thus far, registering 27 goals and 87 assists. Former Germany international won three La Liga titles and five UEFA Champions League trophies with the Blancos, among other honours.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has opened up on his partnership with Luka Modric. He made the comments after the duo helped Blancos win the FIFA Club World Cup last weekend.

Kroos said: “Kroos and Modrić can’t play together? I have no doubt we can still play together. When we don’t play you can see it, it’s another football. Maybe we win, but it’s different.”

Both players are currently in the final months of their respective contracts at the Bernabeu Stadium. They could leave Real Madrid on a Bosman deal next summer.

He has established himself among the most promising attackers in Europe. The 22-year-old has played 18 Seria A games so far this season, registering nine goals and nine assists. Kvaratskhelia also contributed two goals and three assists in five UEFA Champions League games.

Real Madrid are currently second in the La Liga table, eleven points behind leaders Barcelona but with a game in hand. They will play Elche and Ousmane in the league before locking horns against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League round-of-16 tie on February 22. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are likely to feature in all games.
