Rudi Garcia Reveals His Only Wish For Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia has revealed that the only thing he wishes for Cristiano Ronaldo for is for the Portuguese superstar to rediscover the pleasure of playing after his recent struggles.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who re-joined Manchester United in the summer of 2021, had a contract until 2023 with an option for another year with the Red Devils. But his stay at Man Utd was cut short following the interview in which criticized the club and manager Erik ten Hag among many others.
Cristiano Ronaldo also had an underwhelming FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign. While he started for Portugal in all three of their group stage games at Qatar 2022, Fernando Santos dropped him to the bench in their round-of-16 and quarter-final clashes.
Cristiano Ronaldo did come off the bench in both games but did not contribute much as Morocco knocked Portugal out of the tournament in the quarter-finals, defeating the EURO 2016 champions 1-0.
While speaking to reporters at the Dakar Rally, Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia revealed his plans for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rudi Garcia revealed that his only wish for Cristiano Ronaldo is that he rediscovers the pleasure of playing and regain his smile after his recent struggles.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is yet to make his debut for Al-Nassr following his move to the Saudi Arabian outfit. His debut for Al-Nassr has been delayed because of the two-match suspension handed out to him for smashing an Everton fan’s phone in April last year.
Ronaldo will be eyeing to instantly hit the ground running at Al-Nassr and deliver the goods for his new side.
