Cristiano Ronaldo Launches an Attack on Wayne Rooney

Cristiano Ronaldo left Juventus to join Manchester United in the summer of 2021. Throughout the season, he performed really well and scored 17 goals.

On top of that, the Portuguese superstar netted six more goals in the UEFA Champions League. He was clearly United’s best performer in a season where the Red Devils struggled a lot. They finished fifth in the EPL and missed the Champions League.

Finally United signed Erik ten Hag at the start of this season to guide them in this difficult phase.

Since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, Cristiano Ronaldo is not having his best time. He lost his place in the starting eleven. Even when he played he was not near his natural level.

Things got even worse in the Tottenham match. Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave the field even before the end of the match. Following this, he was suspended for United’s next game against Chelsea.

Ronaldo was hugely criticised by many former Manchester United players. Wayner Rooney was one of them. The former English international did not like Ronaldo’s behaviour. He called him an unnecessary distraction. Rooney also urged his former to ship Ronaldo out.

Then the Manchester United forward sarcastically added, “I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true . . . ”

In the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo also criticised his current manager Erik the hag. he told that, he does not have any respect for the Dutch manager. Ronaldo also pointed out how United never progressed since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.

After the Tottenham incident, it was clear that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be shipped out of the club in the January transfer window. But now with this new interview, he has made it further clear.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not feature in United’s 2-1 win against Fulham, last night. The forward will be seen in action in Qatar leading the Portuguese team. Ronaldo will be eager to stop his critics at the Qatar World Cup 2022.
