Arsenal transfer news: Hector Bellerin is in talks with Gunners to terminate his contract, per multiple reports.
The Spanish right-back spent last season at Betis and helped them to a fifth-place finish in La Liga. Bellerin had featured in 32 games for Betis last season, with 23 of those coming in the Spanish top-flight.
He also won the Copa del Rey title with Betis last season. Courtesy of their fifth-place finish last season, Betis have also qualified for this season’s Europa League.
Bellerin moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2011. He made his Arsenal senior team debut in 2013, coming on as a substitute.
Bellerin has so far featured in 239 matches for Arsenal and has scored nine goals for the team.
He has won the FA Cup in 2014–15, 2016–17, 2019–20 seasons, the FA Community Shield in 2015, 2017, 2020 with Arsenal.
Bellerin has also represented the Spain national football team four times.
Bellerin will be hoping Arsenal agrees to terminate his contract. That would allow him to return to Real Betis on a free transfer. Bellerin enjoyed a great spell at Betis last season, and the 27-year-old will be hoping for another similar run at the Spanish side.
