Arsenal Transfer News: The Gunners Are Linked with Lorey Sane Of Bayern Munich
Sane helped the Munich-outfit win two Bundesliga titles, among other honours. He won the UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football Team of the Season: 2021–22.
According to Fichajes, Arsenal are among the front-runners to complete the transfer of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of the German international and is looking to bank on his relationship with him during his time at Manchester City.
Arsenal Transfer News: Reputed journalist Pete O’Rourke sheds light on Arsenal’s transfer interest in the German international. He said: “I think it could only help, if there’s any potential move for Leroy Sane if he knows people that he has previously worked with, like Mikel Arteta. I’m sure it will come into his thinking process and he will definitely seriously consider a move to Arsenal because Arteta’s there, and the players that he’s played with earlier as well.”
The Gunners have started the current season brilliantly, winning 12 of their opening 12 league games. They are currently at the top of the Premier League table, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
The Gunners will look to challenge for the Premier League title this season. Arsenal expected to bring in reinforcements to his squad in the January transfer window, with signing a winger among his top priorities.
Lorey Sane will be an excellent transfer addition to the Arsenal squad in that regard. The German international is known for his pace, flair, directness and dribbling skills. He has played 13 Bundesliga games this season, registering five goals and three assists. Sane also scored four goals in four UEFA Champions League appearances so far.
Leroy Sane’s contract at the Allianz Arena will run until the end of the 2024-25 season. The Bavarians currently value the German international at around £60 million. Arsenal will need to pay a hefty transfer fee to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
