Benfica Rejected Liverpool’s Massive Bid for Enzo Fernandez
Liga BWIN club Benfica have rejected Liverpool’s bid for midfielder Enzo Fernandez. The Argentina international is among the most sought-after players in Europe following his impressive performances at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
He played seven games in Qatar, registering one goal and one assist. Enzo Fernandez won the FIFA World Cup 2022’s Best Youngster award. The 21-year-old midfielder has also been a star performer for since joining Benfica from River Plate during the summer window.
The Argentina international has played 24 games(in all competitions) for the Portuguese club thus far, registering three goals and five assists. He has won the Primeira Liga Midfielder of the Month award twice this season.
Jurgen Klopp is actively looking to bolster his midfield after almost all his current options suffered injuries this season. Enzo Fernandez will be an excellent addition to the Reds squad given his talent.
