Bruno Fernandes Is a Striker’s Dream, Says Roy Keane

Roy Keane has lavished praise on Bruno Fernandes after the Portuguese attacker delivered an impressive performance in Manchester United’s defeat of Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Manchester United travelled to City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest and cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over the home side.

Goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot on either side of the halftime saw Manchester United brush side Nottingham Forest to earn all three points from the fixture. The Red Devils could have won the game by a bigger margin, and manager Erik Ten Hag felt they should have, given how dominant they were against Nottingham Forest.

Bruno Fernandes was sensational for Manchester United against Nottingham Forest as they outclassed their opposition. The win also saw them move up to third in the Premier League points table.

Roy Keane hailed Bruno Fernandes as a ‘striker’s dream’ in his post-match analysis with Sky Sports and believes the Portuguese attacker is ‘pure quality’.

Plenty of time today, he’s got a good relationship obviously with [Christian] Eriksen and all the guys around him. I just think he’s pure quality.

I know we criticise him when United doesn’t win football matches. He’s two steps ahead in terms of his quality and the picture he has on the football pitch. I think the guy’s pure quality.

He’ll be disappointed again he hasn’t scored but a great day for him, very comfortable.

Meanwhile, Manchester United returned to third place in the Premier League points table with the win over Nottingham Forest. The Red Devils have 59 points from 30 matches in the Premier League so far this season. They are three points clear of fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have 56 points from 30 matches.

Manchester United, however, trails table-toppers Arsenal by 15 points. They are also 11 points behind Manchester City, who sit second in the table and are the defending champions.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will now turn their attention to the Europa League quarter-final second leg with Sevilla. The first leg between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw, which left the tie in the balance.
