Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been linked with a move away from the club. Croatia international joined the Blues from Real Madrid in 2018.
He has played 211 games (in all competitions) for Chelsea thus far, scoring six goals and assisting 14 more. Mateo Kovacic helped the London outfit win one UEFA Champions League trophy and one UEFA Europa League title, among other honours. The 28-year-old midfielder won the Chelsea Player of the Season accolade in 2018-19.
Mateo Kovacic will enter the final year of his contract at Old Stamford at the end of the current season. He is currently at €40 million by TransfrMarket.com.
The Blues will look to bank a transfer fee of close to that sum. Manchester United and Bayern Munich are among the clubs who have shown interest in signing the talented Croatian in recent weeks.
The Dutch international has struggled to hit his best this season. He has played 22 Premier League games so far, scoring three goals.
Meanwhile, Gary Cahill spent seven-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge between 2012 and 2019. He helped Chelsea win eight major trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles. The former England international was also part of the PFA Premier League Team of the Season thrice.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League table, with 38 points from 27 games. They will next play against Aston Villa in a league game at Stamford Bridge on April 1.
