Chelsea News: Thomas Tuchel: It is Too Easy to Beat Us
Chelsea News: Manager Thomas Tuchel has confessed it is easy to beat the Blues after they slumped to their second defeat of the Premier League 22/23 season.
The Blues succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Southampton, who came from behind to secure all three points. Raheem Sterling put Chelsea ahead in the 23rd minute, but Romeo Lavia restored parity just five minutes later.
Adam Armstrong scored in the 45+1st minute to hand Southampton the lead. Chelsea could not find an equalizer in the second half as Southampton inflicted a defeat on the Blues.
Speaking after the match, manager Tuchel said it does not take a lot to beat Chelsea.
Tuchel also said it is too easy to beat Chelsea and stressed they need to understand why and find solutions to it. “It is too easy to put us off balance, to beat us, to confuse us. It is too easy,” Tuchel told BBC Sport, as quoted by Goal. He added: ” It happened against Leeds. We need to understand why and find solutions.”
Both Aubameyang and Fofana are likely to join the Blues. Chelsea is nearing an agreement with Leicester City for Fofana. The Blues have also agreed on personal terms with Aubameyang.
Everton youngster Anthony Gordon has also attracted Chelsea’s transfer interest. However, the Merseyside outfit does not want to lose Gordon and have reportedly rejected a bid from the Blues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea was also linked with a move for Man Utd superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. But their interest cooled after talks between manager Tuchel and club co-owner Todd Boehly.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is still said to be working on a deal that would see his client swap Man Utd for Chelsea.
