Chelsea News: Thomas Tuchel Speaks Out Over His Chelsea Future

He was soon rewarded with a new, better contract in West London. Despite a title challenge that largely failed to materialize, he went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

With less than two years left on his contract, Tuchel has acknowledged that preliminary talks have been had about a possible extension.

There are talks, but given our current circumstances and the fact that the transfer window is open, I think it is best if I focus on my team.” Tuchel said in his news conference prior to this weekend’s matchup with Leeds United at Elland Road.

My people converse with the proprietors and handle everything else. You are aware of my gratitude and enjoyment for being here. It’s a good thing, then.

Tuchel’s tenure at Stamford Bridge has been mainly favourable so far. However, he has been involved in a few unpleasant events. The most recent of which was his altercation with Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte following the teams’ turbulent 2-2 tie.

The Chelsea manager was given a suspended one-match touchline suspension by the FA, and he was also told to pay a $35,000 fine.

Given that the game’s flashpoints occurred on the field rather than off of it, he has expressed disappointment with the sentence. Given the fact that a member of our squad was grabbed by the hair two minutes prior, Tuchel added, “It is a little harder to accept.”

“Perhaps we would have gotten away with it if we had both torn out our hair. It was after the game and there was more passion than anything else. I accepted the accusation. For a handshake suddenly, it is a red card.

“Let’s see what happens. I hope, like Antonio, that I can watch from the sidelines. We’ve never been known to get into fights, in general. Together, we have faced off against each other three or four times.”

“Before the equaliser, which brought the score to 1-1, there were no problems. However, the last 20 minutes were a little intense between the benches. That’s reasonable in a derby like this.

However, I will undoubtedly be ready. I’m not always sure if everyone hears me on the sidelines, so perhaps the impact is not as awful as I initially thought. According to what I understand, there is a strong likelihood that I can travel with the team. I can go to the dressing room, and be there before halftime.
