Chelsea Transfer News: Declan Rice interested in Chelsea’s move

Chelsea Transfer News: England midfielder Declan Rice is willing to leave West Ham United to join Chelsea at the end of the season. Rice started his career with the Blues youth academy before joining the Hammers in 2014.

He has established himself among the best defensive midfielders in Europe with the Irons. The England international has played 184 EPL games for the Hammers so far, registering seven goals and 10 assists. Declan Rice won the West Ham United Player of the Season accolade twice and was also named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season 2021-22.

Chelsea Transfer News: According to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, Declan Rice is willing to move to Stamford Bridge even if Chelsea misses out on UEFA Champions League qualification for next season. The Blues are currently ninth in the Premier League table, seven points outside the UEFA Champions League places.

While speaking on Si and Dan Talk Chelsea show, he said: “Declan Rice remains a priority for Chelsea.

Rice, as he said at the World Cup, is keen to move to a Champions League club. UCL football is by no means guaranteed for Chelsea next season but Rice is looking at the bigger picture.”

Benoît Badiashile is among the most promising defenders in Europe. He has played 135 games (in all competitions) so far, registering six goals and two assists. The 21-year-old defender is also a full France international and has represented his country twice so far.

Chelsea bolstered their back-line during the summer transfer window as well. Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella have all arrived at Stamford Bridge before the start of the current season.

Chelsea Transfer News: Chelsea will next lock horns against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in a Premier League game on January 6. Both teams will meet again in the FA Cup third-round game on January 8.
