Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Christian Eriksen will return to action at some point in April.

The Danish midfielder sustained an ankle injury after being on the receiving end of a tackle from Andy Carrol. He was subbed off in the game and has not featured for Manchester United in the 13 games they have played since.

Christian Eriksen will not completely recover from the injury before the March international break, but Erik ten Hag confirmed that the midfielder is due to be back in action at some point in April.

Speaking ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup clash with Fulham, Erik ten Hag provided a fresh injury update on Christian Eriksen.

Christian Eriksen joined Manchester United on a free transfer in 2022 and has established himself as a key player at the Old Trafford outfit.

The 31-year-old has appeared in 31 games across all competitions for Manchester United so far in the current campaign. He has two goals and nine assists for Manchester United to his name.

Had not he suffered an injury during the match against Reading, Christian Eriksen would have probably made more appearances for Manchester United.

Meanwhile, the news that Christian Eriksen will be back in action at some point in April is a welcome one for Manchester United. The Red Devils, who have won the EFL Cup title, remain in contention for the Europa League and FA Cup titles.

Manchester United also sits third in the Premier League points table behind table-toppers Arsenal and defending champions Manchester City. However, Manchester United trail Arsenal by 16 points and Manchester City by 11 points but have a game in hand over both sides.

Manchester United will take on Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals in their next match. The game will kick off at 10:00 pm Indian Standard Time on March 19.
