FIFA World Cup 2022: Jordan Henderson praises Christian Pulisic
England and Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson hails Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic. Pulisic is currently fulfilling his international commitments with the USA at the FIFA World Cup.
He added: “Pulisic played well. We know him from the Premier League. But I thought their midfield was good. They are very athletic and solid. Plus, the defence was organised. A good performance right through the team.”
Christian Pulisic is a key member of the USA squad. He has played 54 games for the Yanks so far, scoring 21 goals. The 24-year-old winger won the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award on three separate occasions.
However, he struggled to establish himself among the regulars at Chelsea since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2019. Christian Pulisic has started just 16 Premier League game since the start of the last season. He has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are among the clubs who have shown interest in signing him in recent weeks. Cristian Pulisic is expected to make a decision about his career after the FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson has established himself as a regular member of the England squad since making his debut in 2010. Liverpool captain has represented the Three Lions 71 times so far, scoring two goals. The 32-year-old midfielder has struggled with injuries this season, starting just seven games in the Premier League this season.
