Inter Milan have made an inquiry about the possibility of signing Harry Maguire on loan before the January transfer window closes, according to a report in Daily Mail.
Harry Maguire has struggled for game time at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag, with the Dutchman mostly preferring the partnership between Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in central defense. Luke Shaw has even started ahead of Maguire in central defense at times despite the former being primarily a left-back.
Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has dismissed suggestions Harry Maguire is his fifth-choice centre-back at the club. He also stressed Maguire has to fight for his place in the Manchester United squad.
Inter Milan are searching for a centre-back to add to their squad amid reports that Paris Saint-Germain has reached a pre-contract agreement with Milan Skriniar over a move to the French outfit in the summer transfer window.
PSG are looking to add Milan Skriniar to their squad before the January transfer window slams shut but has not yet reached an agreement with Inter Milan. Should PSG manage to sign Milan Skriniar before the January transfer window closes, it will leave Inter Milan with one less defender.
Daily Mail also reporst that Harry Maguire will assess his options in the summer if his situation at Manchester United still has not changed by then.
