Jurgen Klopp Lavishes Praise on ‘Exceptional’ Jude Bellingham
He is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the next summer transfer window, and Liverpool are among the clubs linked with a move for the highly-rated English midfielder.
Real Madrid and Manchester City are also reportedly interested in signing Jude Bellingham, who has become a key player for Borussia Dortmund and England national football team.
Jude Bellingham’s stock has risen following his impressive performance for England national football team at FIFA World Cup 2022. The young midfielder started in all five matches England played at the latest edition of FIFA’s flagship event and scored a goal and bagged an assist.
When asked if the Borussia Dortmund midfielder’s performance at FIFA World Cup 2022 could price Liverpool out of a move for the 19-year-old, Jurgen Klopp refused to be drawn on to it.
He added: “I imagine somebody who has no clue about football, or who didn’t watch it for a while if you asked them ‘how old do you think Jude Bellingham is?’ nobody would get even close! They’d say ‘28, 29’, or whatever because he’s that mature.
“He played an exceptional World Cup. Exceptional. He’s good at so many things and has to improve in so many other things, but if I had to describe him I would say that the things he can do already are difficult to learn, and the things have to improve are easy to learn. That makes him a really good player!”
Meanwhile, Liverpool currently sits sixth in the Premier League points table. The Merseyside outfit have 22 points from 14 matches in the Premier League 22/23 season. They are 15 points short of table-toppers Arsenal.
