Jurgen Klopp Says Liverpool Will Do Business in the Summer Transfer Market

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has promised that they will do business in the summer transfer market after a ‘very average’ 22/23 season for the Merseyside outfit.

Liverpool have had an underwhelming 22/23 campaign, with the Reds set to miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League. A top-six finish also looks far from certain for Jurgen Klopp’s team, who finished second in the Premier League last season.

The Merseyside outfit are expected to be very active in the summer transfer window of 2023, with big changes expected at the club. Jurgen Klopp has promised that Liverpool will do transfer business in the summer.

We play a very average season, we have to do business in the market – we will do it! Spending on football combined with football knowledge will lead to improvement, that’s very likely,” Jurgen Klopp said.

So it’s not rocket science we are talking about. So we have the year we have, but we will be ready to fight again, for whatever. We will see that – you will see that.

Liverpool have been linked with moves for a number of players in the summer transfer window. They have been linked with a move to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, but have reportedly ruled themselves out of the race to sign the England international.

Chelsea star Mason Mount is another player Liverpool are reportedly interested in. Mount will enter the final year of his current Chelsea contract in the summer and has been linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge outfit. Liverpool are reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has also reportedly emerged as a transfer target to Liverpool, with the Merseyside outfit eying the Netherlands international as an alternative to Jude Bellingham.

A whole host of other players have also been linked with a move to Liverpool, and it remains to be seen who the Reds will sign in the summer transfer window of 2023.
