Liverpool Cool Down Interest in Moises Caicedo

Liverpool have dropped their interest in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo. Ecuador international is currently among the most talented midfielders in the Premier League.

He has played 43 games (in all competitions) for the Seagulls thus far, registering two goals and three assists. Moises Caicedo also impressed with his performances for Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup 2022. The 21-year-old midfielder made three appearances in Qatar, scoring one goal.

However, Jurgen Klopp has dropped his interest in Brighton and Hove Albion starlet Moises Caicedo. Ecuador international is currently among the most in-demand midfielders in Europe.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are among the clubs who are interested in signing him during the forthcoming transfer window. However, his price tag is set to be high after the Seagulls reportedly rejected Arsenal’s £70 million bid last summer.

He has played 32 games (in all competitions) for the German outfit thus far, registering 11 goals and five assists. Sadio Mane had a feud with Lorey Sane in the dressing room last week, which resulted in him getting a one-match ban.

While speaking to the media, Collymore said: “I’d also have a nibble at [Sadio] Mane, too – after events in the Bayern Munich dressing room this past week – and see if Jurgen Klopp could go some way towards getting the show back on the road like that.”

Sadio Mane enjoyed an excellent spell with Liverpool between 2015 and 2022. He played 269 games in all competitions for the Reds, scoring 120 goals and assisting 48 more.

The Senegal international helped the Merseyside outfit win one Premier League title and one UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours. He won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2018-19 and was also included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Season on four separate occasions.
