Juventus Plot Move for Chelsea Midfielder Mason Mount

Juventus are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. Mount is among the most talented midfielders of his generation.

He has been a consistent performer for the Blues since breaking into the senior team during the 2019-20 season. Mount has played 181 games (in all competitions) for the London outfit so far, registering 32 goals and 37 assists. The 23-year-old midfielder has helped the Blues win the UEFA Champions League title and one UEFA Super Cup among other honours.

He won the Chelsea Player of the Season accolade twice and was also included in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season 2021-22. Mount is also a vital member of the England squad. He has scored five goals for his country in 35 appearances since making his debut in 2019.

Chelsea are interested in extending his stay but talks over a new deal have stalled in recent months. If the Blues fail to renew his deal, they might decide to cash in for him next summer as opposed to losing him for free in 2024.

Juventus are among the clubs who have registered their interest in signing the English midfielder. The Serie A side have failed to win the Serie A title in the last two seasons. They are expected to have a major squad overhaul in the upcoming transfer windows

While speaking to the media last month, Mason Mount responded to reports that suggested a move away from Stamford Bridge.

He said: “I have always been so focused on my football since I was in the academy. I know now there is a lot more media focus on me, but I do not look too much into that. I block it out.”
