Lionel Messi & Kylian Mbappe Injury Boost For PSG Ahead of Bayern Munich Clash
Paris Saint-Germain have been handed an injury boost ahead of their Champions League round-of-16 first leg clash with Bayern Munich as reports from France claim Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe trained on Sunday.
Both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe missed Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-3 defeat to AS Monaco in their most recent fixture due to injuries. Lionel Messi suffered an injury during PSG’s 1-2 defeat at the hands of Marseille in the French Cup round-of-16.
Kylian Mbappe, meanwhile, picked up an injury during Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-1 win over Montpellier at the start of February. Apart from PSG’s defeat to Monaco, the Frenchman has also missed their 2-1 win over Toulouse and defeat to Marseille.
The French outlet reports that both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe seem certain to be part of the PSG squad for their match against Bayern Munich.
It remains to be seen if Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe will achieve full fitness before the match against Bayern Munich and whether the duo will start for PSG.
The first leg of this Champions League round-of-16 clash will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on February 15. PSG hosts the fixture.
