Manchester United Completed Jack Butland’s Signing

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Jack Butland from Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. The England international will serve as a backup to David de Gea at Old Trafford following the return of Martin Dubravka to Newcastle United.

Jack Butland joined Crystal Palace from Stoke City during the summer transfer window of 2020. He has struggled to establish himself at Selhurst Park, featuring in just 10 Premier League games for the Eagles so far. His contract with the London club is set to expire at the end of the current season.

While speaking to United’s official website, Butland said: “This is an amazing club and one that I am now proud to represent. I’m really looking forward to working with an unbelievable goalkeeping group, supporting each other every day”.

The England international has struggled with his game time since the arrival of Erik ten Hag at the start of the current season. He has managed to start just three Premier League games this season.

In his column for caught offside, Romano said: “No major developments yet on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future. Wolves, Crystal Palace, and West Ham had talks to ask for information on the conditions of the deal in December. But it’s still early stages,”.

Manchester United are currently fourth in the Premier League table, with 35 points from 17 games. They will lock horns against Everton in the FA Cup third-round tie at Old Trafford on January 7.
