Manchester United News: Real Madrid Have Had No Contact From Red Devils For Casemiro
Manchester United news: Real Madrid have not had any contact from the Red Devils for midfielder Casemiro.
That is despite Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Jesse Lingard all leaving the club on free transfers this summer. Man Utd was also interested in Adrien Rabiot, but a move is almost certainly off for the Juventus midfielder.
The Old Trafford outfit have also been linked with a move for FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The Red Devils have even agreed on a transfer fee with Barcelona. But, a move has not materialized yet. De Jong, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea, also prefers to stay in Barcelona.
The report says Real Madrid is aware Casemiro has received an offer that would see his salary almost double. However, the 30-year-old does not seem to have taken a decision yet.
Marca says that Casemiro is not sure if he wants to call it a day in his illustrious career at Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, the report also claims Real Madrid is bracing for an offer from Man Utd for Casemiro. The Red Devils’ first bid for Casemiro is expected to be at around €60m.
It remains to be seen if Casemiro will be ready to leave the defending Champions League winners for a team that will play in the Europa League this season.
Meanwhile, Man Utd have had a miserable start to their new season. Erik ten Hag’s side succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in their opening league match.
The Red Devils then suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Brentford in their second league game of the season. The Bees humiliated Man Utd at Gtech Community Stadium as they ran riot. Brentford won the game 4-0.
Man Utd host fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in their next Premier League game.
