Manchester United Transfer News: Jose Mourinho Has Given Green Light for Tammy Abraham Transfer
Manchester United News: Tammy Abraham “must be in the conversation” this summer, Red Devils have been told. Jose Mourinho is happy to go ahead with the transfer.
Cristiano Ronaldo and the question of whether he would be in the starting lineup took up a large portion of the lead-up to the league debut. The 37-year-old has had a turbulent summer. He missed most of their summer programme after expressing his desire to quit.
His desire to play in the Champions League is currently in jeopardy because that exit has yet to occur. Ronaldo was not included in the starting lineup and played only 45 minutes for the Dutchman, according to Ten Hag. However, he is still a part of the plan.
Anthony Martial was hurt, and Ten Hag was forced to come up with a plan in which he started Christian Eriksen in the false 9 position. That didn’t work out. The new manager acknowledged that his team improved after making Ronaldo the centre of attention in his attack.
The next time out, he will probably start against Brentford. However, there are still some doubts about the position, especially given Ronaldo’s uncertain future. After a stellar debut season for the Giallorossi, former Crystal Palace chairman turned commentator, feels United should turn to Roma striker Abraham.
“Abraham has scored 17 or 18 goals for Roma last year; I’m not sure why he isn’t in the mix for Manchester United or Chelsea,” Jordan said on talkSPORT. “Both Chelsea and Manchester United need centre strikers.”
“Even sides that obviously need a certain kind of player. I don’t think Raheem Sterling will be the answer for Chelsea from a focal point,” the former player said.
With 27 goals in all competitions, including 17 in Serie A, Abraham has already established himself as a local hero at the Stadio Olimpico. His Serie A goals also break Gabriel Batistuta’s previous mark of 16 in a rookie campaign.
Additionally, his goals helped Roma win the inaugural Europa Conference League, which they did by defeating Feyenoord. The former Chelsea striker has found fresh life with the Italian powerhouses and has rejoined the England team under Mourinho’s guidance.
The Special One has also acknowledged that, should the 24-year-old decide to make a comeback to the Premier League, he wouldn’t obstruct him. “He is aware of my joy. At the conclusion of the previous season,” he said.
“He is aware of my passion for the youngster and the player. As well as my satisfaction with our progress and my joy over Tammy’s good fortune. Because I am confident in his ability to do extremely well, we have reached this point where I am demanding a lot from him.“
The Premier League is obviously a tournament where when a player is in it’s hard to leave, so I don’t think it’s an easy decision for a young player to leave their club, their residence, their city, and their nation.
