Manchester United Transfer News: Red Devils Looking To Raid Madrid Clubs to Strengthen Their Team
Injury setbacks during the 22-year-most old’s recent season at Atletico Madrid prevented him from making more than 13 La Liga starts. Despite his flashes of brilliance, there have been rumours that the offensive midfielder may go this summer in search of better opportunities.
While Luis Suarez left the team this offseason, Alvaro Morata, who spent two years on loan at Juventus, returned to Atletico this summer. Along with Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa, Cunha, and Felix, the club’s attacking options now also include the Spanish international.
Additionally, Diego Simeone, the manager of Atleti is a fan of Ronaldo. He would love to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from United this summer.
The Red Devils’ interest in Felix and Cunha could be connected to a transaction that sends Ronaldo to Los Rojiblancos. Before launching a formal proposal, United has informed the Brazilian players’ agents Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci of their interest.
However, United has formally expressed interest in Portuguese star Felix by meeting with Atleti in both the team’s official offices in Madrid as well as a posh hotel. Both teams are aware of the other’s stance; United wants to buy, while Atleti is hesitant to part with their assets.
Since moving to the Spanish capital three years ago, the Portuguese international has only started 49 of a possible 115 La Liga games Continuous injury issues and attacking rotations make it difficult for him to maintain a continuous, regular run of games.
The discussions with Felix happened at the same time as United’s transfer coordinators travelled to Madrid. They are interested in Real midfielder Casemiro, as reported by Marca.
It seems like the Premier League team is being overly optimistic. A deal of £50 million has been proposed for the Brazil international.
Casemiro, 30, has been a mainstay in Real Madrid’s midfield for the better part of ten years. He has made 336 first-team appearances. He plays alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in the middle trio.
Change is afoot at Los Blancos, though, as seen by the signings of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde’s performance.
