Michael Owen has urged England national football team and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham to join a club in the English Premier League.

Jude Bellingham has attracted transfer interest from a number of European clubs, including Real Madrid. He is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the next summer transfer window, with a move to a European heavyweight mooted.

There are reports that Jude Bellingham is keen on joining Real Madrid, the defending La Liga and Champions League winners. But Michael Owen believes the 19-year-old should come back to England.

Jude Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 and has been playing for the German club ever since. Since signing for Borussia Dortmund, Jude Bellingham has established himself as one the club’s key players.

He has made 112 appearances for Borussia Dortmund across all competitions and has scored 19 goals for the Bundesliga outfit. He has featured in 19 games for Dortmund so far in the 22/23 season and has racked up nine goals and three assists.

Jude Bellingham was also impressive for England national football team at Qatar World Cup 2022. He featured and started in all five games England played at Qatar 2022 and was one of the Three Lions’ standout players at the latest edition of FIFA’s flagship. He also scored a goal and bagged an assist for England at FIFA World Cup 2022.

Meanwhile, Bellingham’s current contract with Borussia Dortmund expires in 2025, meaning he has more than two years left on his deal with the German club.
