PSG Transfer News: Christophe Galtier Makes Leandro Paredes Juventus Admission
Paredes has been linked with a move away from PSG this summer. Juventus are interested in his services. And, Galtier claims the player has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Italian outfit.
Galtier has also confirmed Paredes will not be in the PSG squad for their next Ligue 1 match, against Toulouse FC.
Speaking ahead of their match between Toulouse FC, Galtier also confirmed Navas will be in the squad for their next game.
Galtier also explained he has not included Paredes in the squad so that he could prepare well for his departure from the club. He also said Paredes’ mind is elsewhere, although he is still a PSG player.
“Leandro will not be part of the group. We know that he has reached a [personal terms] agreement with Juventus,” added the PSG manager.
He continued: “He is currently a PSG player, but his mind is elsewhere. I made the decision not to put him in the group so that he could prepare for his departure and so that I don’t have a player who, perhaps, will leave the club in 24 hours.”
Meanwhile, Juventus and PSG have not yet reached an agreement over the sale of Paredes. But it looks likely the 28-year-old Argentine midfielder will leave the club before the transfer window slams shut.
Meanwhile, PSG’s perfect start to the Ligue 1 22/23 campaign came to an end when they shared points with AS Monaco in their recent game. PSG had won their first three matches in an emphatic fashion. However, Monaco held the defending champions to a 1-1 draw in their previous game.
PSG sits top of the league table with 10 points from four matches. They will be looking to make it 13 when they face Toulouse.
