Barcelona Midfielder Franck Kessie’s Agent Slams Down All Transfer Rumours
Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie started his football at the academy of Stella Club. He graduated from the academy and was promoted to the main team in 2014.
However soon after that, Kessie joined Serie-A club Atalanta on a three-year deal. Initially, after playing for the U-19 side, Kessie made his way to the first team. But then the midfielder joined Serie-B club, Cesena, on a year-long loan to gain more first-team opportunities.
After his loan deal, Kessie returned back to Atalanta and played one season for them. the midfielder then joined Serie-A giants AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. He soon became one of the mainstays in the AC Milan setup. Throughout the years, the midfielder delivered consistent performances and finally won the Serie-A title in the 2021/22 season. Kessie joined Barcelona on a free transfer at the last summer transfer window.
After joining Barcelona at the start of the season, Franck Kessie did not have a smooth start. The midfielder has appeared in eleven matches so far. But he started in only four out of them.
Recently a rumour emerged saying that Kessie is not happy with the amount of playtime he is getting right now. The rumours further suggested that the midfielder is already looking for a new team and want to leave the Catalan giants in the upcoming January transfer window itself.
FC Barcelona are known for their unique playstyle. Players often take some time to adjust to this. According to Kessie’s agent, this is the reason for his slow start.
“Franck has only been at the club for a few months, still in the process of adapting to the team and Barça’s style of play,” added Franck’s agent.
However, their situation in the European competition is quite different. After winning their first match, they have lost three out of their next four matches. As a result, Barcelona have been relegated to the Europa League for the second season in a row.
Barcelona will Viktoria Plzen in their next match. Earlier Kessie scored his first goal for the club against the same opposition on the first matchday of the UEFA Champions League.
